Jazz Classes at On Pointe School of Dance
Jazz Dance is marked by movement isolations and complex, propulsive polyrhythms. It is an outgrowth of African-American ragtime, jazz, spirituals, blues, work songs, and so forth, and is considered a truly American dance style. The music that is used in class can be jazz or pop. This is an upbeat class. While having fun a student will also learn the correct Jazz technique.
