Tap is a form of dance characterized by a tapping sound that is created from metal plates that are attached to both the ball and heel of the dancer's shoe. These metal plates, when tapped against a hard surface, create a percussive sound and as such the dancers are considered to be, somewhat, musicians.

Ages: 2 yrs and above

Dance Wear:

  • Girls: Leotard, tights, dance shorts or dance capris that are above the knee.
  • Boys: sweatpants and a t-shirt


Dance Shoes: Minis and Tap 1 black patent leather tap shoes  All others black leather Jazz taps

All hair must be pulled back out of the face. If pony tail is longer than the shoulder blades; the hair must be in a bun.   The only jewelry that can be worm in class is stud earrings
